After years in the business world, I put in my resignation, moved to Colorado, and began teaching. It's hard to believe that this is now my 17th year at Peabody. Many students have come and gone each taking a piece of my heart with them. I have found memories of all my students and love when they come back and share what they've been up to and where they are now in their life. I've enjoyed my time here at Peabody and feel this is truly a wonderful place to work.
I received my bachelor degree in Elementary Education from Weber State University in 1992. I then received my masters degree in Reading from the University of Northern Colorado in 1997. I currently have over 70 hours of course work above my master degree.
In my leisure time I enjoy going to the movies, spending time in the mountains, reading, and traveling.

This is my fifth year teaching and my fourth year at Peabody. I'm very excited to be part of such an amazing community of professionals, parents, and students. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education in 2003 from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. I taught fourth grade in Little Rock before moving to Denver in 2005 with my husband and two dogs, Dignan and Hattie. When I'm not preparing for school I enjoy playing with our dogs, listening to live music, arts and crafts, reading, traveling, and anything outdoors.

I am pleased to be joining the Peabody community this fall as a third grade teacher. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, with a minor in English, from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Starting my career as a fourth grade teacher, I have also taught fifth grade, sixth grade, and preschool. During the last eighteen years, I've been teaching second or third grade at Lewis Ames Elementary, the last two years in a second/third grade blend. Realizing the importance of integrating technology into our curriculum, I completed my Master's degreein Educational Technology Leadhership from George Washington University. Recently, I also completed a Math Certificate from the University of Colorado at Denver. I love to learn and to teach! I look forward to working with the students, staff, and parents of Peabody.
