Mrs. Lora Lehr

Second Grade Teacher
"To love what you do and feel that it matters - how could anything be more fun!"  This quote by Katherine Graham epitomizes the last twenty-four years of my career in the field of education.  I have had the honor of teaching in the Littleton Public Schools since my graduation from the University of Northern Colorado in 1985, most of which has been spent at Peabody Elementary. At U.N.C., I earned a bachelor of arts degree in Elementary Education (K-6) and Special Education (K-12). Later, I received my master’s degree in Educationally Handicapped (K-12) from the University of Denver. For the first six years of my teaching career, I taught special education. Currently, I am in my sixth year of teaching second grade, but have also taught fifth grade and fourth grade. I am originally from Casper, Wyoming. I moved to Colorado to attend college. I enjoy spending time with family and friends - dancing, playing golf, watching the Broncos, and reading.

Jennifer Hurley  Jennifer Hurley is moving from 3rd grade to our second grade team in the 2009-2010 school year.

I am thrilled to be back at Peabody this year!  This will be my fourth year at Peabody.  Having taught two years at third grade, I am excited to join the second grade team this year.

My history at Peabody actually began in 1985 where I attended Peabody as a student. Even as a student, I was already in love with learning. My hope for my students each day is to develop that love for learning in them.

I graduated from Arapahoe High School, and received my degree in Behavioral Science with an emphasis in Psychology from Metro, where I also completed the Teacher Certification program.

When I am not working at school, I am spending time with my new husband, Patrick, our dog, Conner, and my large family of 3 brothers and 1 sister (all of whom are products of LPS). My favorite pastime is reading, although I have a weakness for shopping and great deals.
