I am Elaine Fischer, the school social worker. I am pleased to continue in this capacity both here at Peabody Elementary as well as at Sandburg Elementary. I previously worked in Littleton Public Schools with Special Education students.
Prior to working in LPS, my employment was in the field of medical social work, in a variety of settings (most notably at The Children's Hospital in the Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery). My work primarily focused on women and children.
I provide a variety of services at Peabody, including individual and group counseling, whole class lessons, crisis intervention, consultation to parents and teachers, and coordination with outside agencies. I facilitate the Student Intervention Team. I am the building 504 coordinator. I also review records on all incoming students and write grants when needed.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. This year I will in the building on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. You can reach me by email at
efischer@lps.k12.co.us or leave me a voice mail message at 303-734-5693.
